17 Jul Meet Lexi, PROC’s CMA and our latest Sunbeam!
Hey there sunshine seekers! We’re thrilled to shine the spotlight on our own Lexi, a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) extraordinaire at PROC. Lexi has been spreading smiles and positive vibes here for nearly three years, and her journey into the medical field is truly inspiring.
Originally from the front office, Lexi jumped at the chance to become a CMA when a previous employee moved to a different position. This transformation wasn’t just a career shift; it was a heartfelt mission. Lexi’s husband was diagnosed with colon cancer at the age of 35, and being deeply involved in his care fueled her passion for supporting cancer patients. Happily, her husband is now cancer-free and continues to undergo regular scans to ensure he remains in good health.
Lexi’s day-to-day involves rooming patients, taking vitals, drawing blood, and administering injections when necessary. Tuesdays are her favorite workdays, dedicated to OTV sessions where she gets to chat with treatment patients and truly connect with them. Lexi’s warm, uplifting presence is often noted by patients, as one even gifted her a bracelet matching her cheerful pink attire!
Outside of work, Lexi and her husband love outdoor adventures like kayaking, hiking, and camping. They share their lively home with two dogs—Brisket and Maura, a cat named Libby, and have recently added chickens to their little farmstead! A self-proclaimed bookworm, Lexi adores curling up with a good fantasy novel and hits the CrossFit gym regularly. Her love for reading and fitness speaks volumes about her dedication to both mental and physical well-being.
Lexi, your dedication and positive energy make you a true Sunbeam in our community. Here’s to many more years of spreading light and joy at PROC!
